Suspected drunken driver causes crash on NB I-75 and Mack Ave.

DETROIT – Two people were taken to the hospital with serious injuries after a suspected drunken driver caused a crash on northbound I-75 and Mack Ave, police said.

The incident happened around midnight Saturday.

Police said the driver of a 2016 Cadillac was traveling at a high rate of speed and rear-ended a 2006 Chevy four- door. Both vehicles crashed into the right shoulder cement barrier, according to police.

The occupants of the Chevy were seriously injured, while the driver of the Cadillac suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Police say alcohol may have been a factor in the crash.
