DETROIT – A deadly crash has shut down the intersection of Schaefer Highway and the I-96 Service Drive in Detroit.
Two vehicles were severely damaged in the crash.
Driver wanted for shots fired at home
Police said they had been following one of the drivers who, they said, is a man wanted after shots were fired at a home in the 14000 block Northlawn Street. That man ran a red light and crashed into another vehicle at Schaefer Highway and I-96, killing the other driver.

There were no passengers in either vehicles. No other injuries have been reported.
Police took the shooting suspect into custody after the crash. It's unclear if he was injured in the crash.
