2 men hospitalized after car swerves into ditch off I-94 in Harrison Township

Witnesses say car hit guard rail, sign before going into ditch


HARRISON TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Two men were taken to the hospital Tuesday after a car they were in swerved off eastbound I-94 into a ditch near Joy Road in Harrison Township.

Police received a call around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday for a single car crash. Witnesses said the car was swerving on the roadway near I-94 and 16 Mile Road when it hit a guard rail and a sign and went into a ditch near Joy Road.

Several residents tried to help the two men in the car, but they said the men were unresponsive.

Medical officials arrived and tended to both men, who were responsive when they were taken to the hospital for further treatment.

Police said they are still investigating the crash.
