Michigan man arrested for shooting gun during argument with his mother

David Fox charged with assault with a dangerous weapon, felony firearms

IMLAY CITY, Mich. – A 30-year-old Imlay City man was arrested Tuesday for allegedly firing a gun during an argument with his 56-year-old mother.

Police said David Fox and his mother got into an argument Tuesday at a home on Church Road in Imlay City. Fox is accused of damaging property during the argument, pulling out a handgun and firing it. Fox left the home after the alleged incident.

Police were called to the scene and, within minutes, found Fox at a nearby friend's house. He was taken into custody without incident.

There were no injuries in the incident.

Fox is charged with assault with a dangerous weapon and a felony firearms violation.

Fox is being held in the Lapeer County Jail on $25,000 bail, police said. His next court experience is scheduled for late May.
