Woman turns self in for shooting in Detroit that injured newborn baby

DETROIT – A woman has turned herself in after a shooting that hit a newborn baby Wednesday night, police said.

Yvetta Gee turned herself in Saturday as the person who shot up the home, police said.

According to police, the baby's 24-year-old mother was holding the child in the living room of a home in the 16100 block of Maddelein Street near the corner of Kelly and Moross roads when someone started shooting at the house.

The baby's head was grazed by a bullet.
