Second-story residents wake up trapped after stairs removed

Apartment stairs weren't safe, so they were taken

Several people were trapped on the second floor of an apartment building in Georgia Monday after the complex removed the stairs.

WSB reports residents woke up to the stairs being removed and notices on their doors telling them they wouldn't have access to the stairs until Thursday. Management warned residents of the shaky stairs last week, and recommended they vacate until they were fixed.
