Sunny and hot, poor air quality possible
Overnight lows in 70s
DETROIT – The heat is on Sunday and early this week. With heat and a light wind, greater levels of air pollution are likely.
An Air Quality Alert is in effect for Lenawee, Livingston, Macomb, Monroe, Oakland, St. Clair, Washtenaw and Wayne Counties.

To stay cool and comfortable, remember to drink plenty of water, wear light, loose-fitting clothes and stay in or near air conditioned areas.
With an Air Quality Alert (also known as an Ozone Action Day) you can keep air pollution levels low by carpooling and using public transportation and taking a break from mowing the lawn or using any other gas-powered equipment. Remember to check on seniors or anyone with respiratory or heart ailments.
Sunday night will be warm and fair. Air conditioners and well-ventilated homes are musts. Overnight lows in the low 70s.
Monday and Tuesday will be hotter with another Air Quality Alert likely. Highs will be in the low 90s. It becomes more humid. Heat indices will be in the middle 90s. People must take frequent breaks when working or playing outdoors.
Flag Day, Wednesday will not be as hot. Highs will be in the mid 80s with a chance of showers and thunderstorms.
