Detroit City Council votes 7-2 in favor of funding for Pistons' move downtown

DETROIT – The Detroit City Council voted 7-2 in favor of funding for the new Little Caesars Arena and Pistons’ headquarters.

The city council will issue $34.5 million in additional DDA bonds to pay for construction changes to the Little Caesars Arena project to accommodate the Pistons’ move downtown.

A hearing was held Monday where a request for a temporary restraining order was denied.
