HIGHLAND PARK, Mich. – A 31-year-old man was shot and killed during a block party Tuesday night in Highland Park.
The shooting happened about 10 p.m. near the intersection of Midland and Third, just west of Woodward Avenue. Investigators said a gunman approached and shot the victim moments after fireworks were started.
The victim has been identified as Antoine Smith.
The gunman remains on the loose. Police are asking for any witnesses who may have information on the suspect's whereabouts.
