Pizza delivery driver assaulted, robbed while making delivery in Ypsilanti

YPSILANTI, Mich. – A pizza delivery driver in Ypsilanti was assaulted and robbed early Friday while making a delivery.

According to police, the driver said he was making a delivery at 1:31 a.m. in the 400 block of South Huron Street when two males approached him and assaulted him. They took money and three large pizzas.

The 23-year-old driver wasn’t injured, police said.

A police K-9 tracked to a nearby home and began scratching at a door and barking, police said. Two 16-year-old Ypsilanti boys at the home were arrested, and the evidence was recovered, police said.
