Detroit police: Man shot multiple times by CPL holder after being warned

DETROIT – A man is in critical condition after he was shot multiple times by a CPL holder during an argument Sunday night on Detroit’s west side.

According to police, the shooting happened at about 11 p.m. at Lyndon Street and Stansbury Avenue.

Police said a man was in a verbal argument with a man and a woman in truck when he broke the window and attempted to attack the woman before the woman drove off.

The man then charged at a 23-year-old man who is a CPL holder, police said. The 23-year-old pulled out a pistol and warned the attacker not to get any closer.

The attacker charged again and shots were fired.

The man was shot multiple times and is in critical condition.

The shooter stayed at the scene and is cooperating with authorities, police said.
