75-year-old man tied up, robbed at gunpoint at home in Clinton Township

CLINTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A 75-year-old man was tied up and robbed Tuesday morning at his home in Clinton Township.

Police said the man went outside to turn his sprinklers on at about 7:30 a.m. at his home on Webster Street and when he went back inside the house there was a man inside with a gun.

The resident was tied up and the thief began ransacking the house.

Police said coins and guns were taken from the home.

The thief was described as a black man, between the age of 30 and 40 years old, 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighs 220, and has dark skin. He was wearing dark clothing and was armed with a handgun. The thief was driving a red 2017 Jeep Cherokee, Michigan license plate #CJZ 5010.
