DETROIT – A man was shot Monday night during a basketball game on Detroit's west side.
Police said a group was playing basketball at a park near 30th and Herbert streets at 7:40 p.m. when there was an argument. One man got a gun from a vehicle, police said. He fired shots and hit a 20-year-old man in the stomach.
The condition of the man who was shot is unknown. He is in surgery, police said.
The shooter is described as black and in his 20s. He has a dark complexion, and was wearing a blue hat, white shirt and black shorts.
He left the scene in a light blue minivan, police said.
