DETROIT – A 30-year-old man was shot and killed Friday at a home on Detroit's west side, police said.
The victim's mother was at the home in the 9600 block of Sussex Street when she heard gunshots. She saw a black truck leaving the scene and found the 30-year-old man dead.

The shooting happened in a basement bedroom.
Police do not have a description of the shooter.
