Man shot, robbed, carjacked on Grand River in Detroit

DETROIT – A 57-year-old man was shot Friday by a man who carjacked and robbed him on Detroit's west side, police said.

The victim said he was approached by a man who threatened to rob him.

Police said the victim was shot and carjacked. The culprit took a white Infiniti truck, $1,000 and jewelry, police said.

Police are searching for a 45-year-old black man. He is described as short, with a medium complexion. He was last seen wearing shorts and an orange shirt.

The victim is in temporary serious condition, but is expected to survive.
