DETROIT – Detroit police are searching for a person in connection with a fire at a party store on Detroit's east side.
Surveillance video shows a person in a blue fireproof suit from his shoulders to his ankles and a green mask walking into the store. The person walked in through the unlocked door carrying what appears to be a broom in one hand and a red container in the other.
The person walked through the store, returned to the door, lit the broom on fire and threw it on the ground. The person then ran out the door and fled through the parking lot.
The person ran with an apparent limp to their left leg.
The fire destroyed the inside of the Chalmers Plus Inc. store near Outer Drive East.
There were no injuries.
