Police seek hit-and-run driver who killed man in Southwest Detroit

Detroit police are searching for the driver of this Buick Rendezvous that was involved in a fatal hit-and-run.

DETROIT – Police are asking for information about a hit-and-run that killed a man Sunday night in Southwest Detroit.

Police said at 10 p.m. a 53-year-old man was hit and killed by a vehicle near Junction and Federal streets.

The vehicle, a white Buick Rendezvous with a light-color trim, was driven by a man who went to a nearby establishment, police said. Another man went to the scene of the incident before going to the establishment where the other man was and talking to him, police said.

The driver is described as balding, with a short mustache and beard. He was wearing a light-colored shirt.

The second man is described as white and heavyset. He was wearing a blue shirt and dark pants, and he has a tattoo on the back of his neck. He was driving a yellow and black GMC Jimmy or Chevrolet Blazer.
