Driver sought after crash with DDOT bus on Detroit's west side

8 people were on bus at time, including 2 children who were both hurt

DETROIT – Police are searching for a driver after a crash with a Detroit Department of Transportation bus on Detroit's west side.

It happened Thursday in the area of Meyers Road and Curtis Street.

Police said the car ran a stop sign and hit the bus.​

Eight people were on the bus at the time, including a 3-year-old child and a 4-year-old child who were both hurt, police said. They are in stable condition.

The driver of the car ran off and police are still looking for him.
