DETROIT – A man was seriously injured Friday when he was shot outside a house in Detroit, then brought inside the house before it was set on fire.

Firefighters arrived at the home around 11:30 a.m. in the 1500 block of Highland Street in time to pull the man out of the flames.

They said they found him on the second floor with at least six gunshot wounds.

He was taken to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.

Sources told Local 4 he was dragged inside the home by the shooter, who then took off.

The house appears to be a drug house with many vacants around it.

Police tried to track the shooter with a K-9 unit, but had no luck.
