West Bloomfield Township police searching for man who robbed Chemical Bank

Police say this man robbed a Chemical Bank in West Bloomfield Township on Friday, Sept. 15, 2017.

WEST BLOOMFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Police are searching for a man who robbed a Chemical Bank in West Bloomfield Township on Friday morning.

Police said the man walked into the bank at 7950 West Maple Road at 10:54 a.m. and handed the teller a note requesting money. The man got an undisclosed amount of money, police said.

He left the bank on foot and was last seen walking north on Haggerty Road. The robbery prompted the lockdown of two nearby schools.

He is described as a dark-skinned black man in his 20s or 30s. He is 6 feet to 6 feet 2 inches tall and has a thin build. 

He was wearing acid washed blue jeans, a striped shirt, a black Timberland baseball hat and red tennis shoes.
