Video shows man urinating on 'Black Lives Matter' at University of Michigan Diag

ANN ARBOR – Police are looking to identify a man who appears to have urinated on the University of Michigan Diag where "Black Lives Matter" was written in chalk on the ground.

Video posted to Twitter shows a man walking up to the Diag before beginning to urinate.

The University of Michigan's Department of Public Safety and Security released this statement on Thursday:

Late Wednesday morning, we were notified that pictures and a video were circulating on social media showing a male urinating near the block M of the Diag possibly early Wednesday morning. DPSS is investigating the incident.

Anyone with information about this incident or the subject in the video is urged to contact DPSS at 734-763-1131.

The Twitter user who posted the video from Snapchat noted that the incident took place after a student had been kneeling in protest at the Diag moments before.
