Detroit police search for teenage girl missing for more than a week

DETROIT – Detroit police are asking for the public's help finding a 15-year-old girl last seen Oct. 6.

Police said Kiara Owens was last seen at 11:30 a.m. at her home in the 3000 block of 14th Street.

Owens left the home after an argument with her parents and hasn't been seen or heard from since, police said.

Owens is described by police as a black girl who is 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighs 130 pounds and has burgundy and black hair. Police said she is in good physical and mental condition.
