Man arrested for drugs after trying to light cigarette with gas nozzle

ND man charged for drugs, resisting arrest

A North Dakota man was arrested for drug possession after police first watched him try to light a cigarette with the nozzle of a gas pump.

Skyler Whitebull, 29, was approached by police after they watched him unsuccessfully light his cigarette. According to The Associated Press, Whitebull reportedly refused to hang up the nozzle and took a "fighting" stance when an officer tried to stop him.

Forcing Whitebull to the ground, an officer said Whitebull flailed his legs and continued to resist while handcuffed. Police recovered several baggies with methamphetamine residue upon searching the suspect.

Along with drug possession, Whitebull is charged with preventing arrest.
