Homeland Security warns of impostor claiming to be from Oakland County Emergency Operations Center

No current evacuation orders, despite what masquerader says

On Monday, Oct. 23, a water main broke along 14 Mile Road between Farmington and Drake roads in West Bloomfield

PONTIAC, Mich. – In a statement released today, the Oakland County Homeland Security Divison has alerted the public that an unknown person has been posing as a representative from the Oakland County Emergency Operations Center.

Authorities say the impostor has been calling facilities affected by the water main break and telling them to evacuate.

There are no current official evacuation orders. Homeland Security asks any facility that receives a call from the EOC directing them to take any action, to call the EOC at 248-858-5300 to double-check if the information provided was factual.
