VIDEO: Drivers crash cars, brawl in busy Connecticut street; police looking for third man

A fight broke out involving three men on a busy Westport, Connecticut street Tuesday. Surveillance video from a transit bus captured the entire incident.

The footage shows two vehicles, a van and a sedan, in a confrontation in the middle of the road. The man in the van appears to abandon his vehicle and run to the side of the road. The driver of the sedan then speeds toward the man, driving over the sidewalk.

Both men emerge and run into the middle of the road where a fight ensues. The driver of the sedan overpowers the other man, holding him down in the street. An SUV then pulls up. The driver of the SUV gets out and kicks the driver of the van before getting back in his vehicle and leaving.

According to WVIT, two men were arrested. 41-year-old Fernando Morales was charged with assault and reckless endangerment. 34-year-old Rafael Valle was also charged with reckless endangerment. Both men were released on five-thousand dollar bonds.

Police are still looking for the man in the SUV.

An investigation determined that the incident began at a nearby home where a man reported that another man showed up and assaulted him with a hammer. The victim says he followed his attacker into Westport, where they crashed their vehicles and the assault ensued.

Police say the men knew one another, but the motive remains unknown.

Police released the video in hopes that it will lead them to identifying the third man.
