Clawson road-rage suspects identified, arraigned

Driver willingly turns self in to police

CLAWSON, Mich. – An accomplice in an Oct. 15 road-rage shooting has been arraigned after turning herself in to the Clawson Police Department.

According to authorities, Latrice LaJean Hassel had turned herself in on Sunday. Hassel had fled to Ohio after the incident, but had returned to Michigan and is being charged with accessory after the fact of a felony. She is currently being held in the Oakland County Jail.

ORIGINAL STORY: Bar owner offering reward after shot fired during road rage incident in Clawson

On Oct. 15, Steven Cornelius Houston was accused of attemping to run over another driver after he had stepped out of his vehicle in the parking lot of the Hideout Bar. When this was unsuccessful, Houston allegedly exited his vehicle and fired a gun at the victim. After missing the victim, Houston allegedly fled in a black Chrysler 200, driven by Hassel.

Houston is currently in custody in Ohio on unrelated charges and will be brought to Michigan to face charges of assault with intent to murder, and possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
