Michigan State Police said Tonya Berta's Jeep was stopped by troopers around 4 a.m. Friday on the southbound side of I-75 just south of I-696. The Jeep was traveling northbound in the southbound lanes.

Troopers found the 1-year-old in the back seat without a car seat or a seat belt. The boy was under a blanket.

State police said Berta appeared to be intoxicated. She was arrested and is being held at the Oakland County Jail.

Investigators are working to figure out where and when she entered the interstate.

Video from a Michigan Department of Transportation camera shows the moment Berta eventually stopped and pulled over for police.
