ROYAL OAK, Mich. – Police have released dashcam footage of an SUV that slammed into a building Friday night in Royal Oak.
The crash happened at 11 Mile Road just off Woodward Avenue.

Investigators said the SUV driver lost control on Woodward Avenue, hitting two cars and clipping a bus stop before going right into the reception area of a dermatology office.
Dashcam video shows the SUV speeding in between two cars stopped at a red light. The SUV then traveled through the snowy yard on the side of the road before losing control and crashing into a building.

The 36-year-old driver from Birmingham was taken into custody. Alcohol use is suspected.
A person inside one of the vehicles that was hit by the SUV was taken to the hospital with significant non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
The Royal Oak Police Criminal Investigation Division is still determining charges against the driver.
