FLINT, Mich. – Flint Mayor Karen Weaver held a news conference Wednesday to provide an update on the city's water crisis recovery effort.
Weaver was joined by Flint Schools Superintendent Bilal Tawwab and representatives of local medical community.
Officials discussed how the city is working with local school leaders to address concerns and ensure decisions are being made that are in the best interest of all residents, including children.
Representatives also recommended next steps regarding plans and protocols related to water distribution.
Children in Flint schools will continue being served bottled water through June while the state generates a proper plan, which will include the medical community.
"I will not sign off on any major changes to the water district effort in Flint until I have received input and advice from the medical community," Weaver said.
