Boy questioned by deputies after threats made on Snapchat about L'Anse Creuse Central High School

HARRISON TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A student in Harrison Township was questioned Wednesday after threats were made on social media.

The Macomb County Sheriff’s Office was called to a home at about 6 a.m. where a student had received pictures on Snapchat stating not to go to school. Authorities said the pictures were of a gun and ammunition.

An additional report was made a short time later regarding the same information.

Deputies identified the sender as a male juvenile student who attends L’Anse Creuse Central High School. 

Deputies made contact with the boy and his mother at their home in Harrison Township. No weapons were located in the home.

The boy was taken to the Macomb County Sheriff’s Office and was interviewed by detectives. The boy was released to his mother and a report will be turned over to the Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office for a review of possible charges.
