MACOMB COUNTY, Mich. – The Macomb County Sheriff's Office dispatch supervisor tells Local 4 that the 911 system is back to normal after having issues Tuesday evening.

Calls were being received, but they were being rerouted to an administrative line instead of the 911 line. Because of this, the dispatcher was not able automatically know a caller's location.

Callers were being asked to give their location to a dispatcher.

The issue appears to have been local and is believed to have been a problem with cellular carriers. If you place a 911 call and cannot get through, call 586-469-5502.
