Detroit Public Schools Community District dismiss early Tuesday due to heat

Students dismissed 3 hours earlier than normal dismissal time

DETROIT – All schools within the Detroit Public Schools Community District were dismissed three hours early on Tuesday due to high temperatures. 

For schools and students with scheduled field trips, buses returned at their normal time and students were transported to their corner stop or home as normally scheduled, according to a statement from the school district.

The dismissals were three hours earlier than normal dismissal time.
