ROSEVILLE, Mich. – A vehicle crash closed I-94 at 12 Mile in Roseville early Tuesday morning, and it also led to one man being sent to the hospital.
The crash happened around 2 a.m. The driver of a white Cadillac got out of his car after the crash and tried to run across the freeway, police said. He was struck by a vehicle.
Officials said his pockets were full of marijuana packages, and his car was untitled, unregistered and uninsured.
While traffic was slowing to a stop, another vehicle swerved to avoid the pedestrian and hit the first crash, police said.
The suspect was taken to the hospital in an unknown condition.
Investigators said the man's identity was confirmed from a photo at the hospital. A warrant request will be filed for fleeing the crash and delivery of marijuana, MSP said.
Michigan State police and Roseville police investigated the crash.
