DEARBORN, Mich. – Tributes were paid Tuesday to former Michigan Rep. John Dingell at Church of the Divine Child in Dearborn.
Dingell, who died at 92 last week, called Dearborn home. A funeral service was also held in Washington, D.C., where he spent 59 years representing Michigan in the U.S. House of Representatives.
The funeral Mass in Dearborn was delayed due to icy weather conditions, and a military plane carrying 60 congressional delegates was turned around due to inclement weather.
Former Vice President Joe Biden delivered a eulogy at the Michigan funeral that went on despite the weather setbacks.
