Police: Man stabbed multiple times after meeting date at White Lake golf course

2 arrested, charged after man stabbed at golf course parking lot

WHITE LAKE TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A 49-year-old man was stabbed multiple times Thursday, May 9 when he was meeting with a woman in White Lake Township who he first contacted on a website.

White Lake Township police said the man met the 25-year-old woman in the parking lot of the Brentwood Golf Club and Banquet Center. She got into his vehicle and had a brief conversation with him until they were confronted by a 19-year-old man who was yelling and pounding on the driver's side window. He eventually broke the window and started stabbing the 49-year-old man repeatedly, police said.

The 49-year-old man placed the vehicle in reverse and quickly drove across the parking lot, stopping when the vehicle drove onto a grass berm. The woman got out of the vehicle and ran.

Police officers responded to the parking lot after the stabbing victim called 911 about 2:10 a.m. Thursday. Officers found the man within the vehicle and began rendering first aid to three stab wounds to his left arm and one stab wound to his abdomen. Emergency personnel arrived to treat and transport the victim to McLaren Hospital in Pontiac. His condition is not known at this time.

Meanwhile, a police tracking dog from the Hazel Park Police Department responded to the location to assist with the track of both suspects. Police said officers developed information from the investigation on possible suspects that resided near the scene.

Officers went to a residence and made contact with the female suspect and the homeowner. Officers said they found evidence of the crime at the residence and secured a search warrant for the residence. The 25-year-old woman was placed under arrest and later charged through the Oakland County Prosecutor's Office with assault with intent to murder and armed robbery.

The 19-year-old man was placed under arrest for assault with intent to murder and armed robbery. Both suspects were lodged at the Oakland County Jail and later video arraigned on the charges. Both suspects received a $200,000 cash or surety bond and will be required to wear a GPS tether if bond is posted.
