2 Detroit men victims of armed robbery in Port Huron

Suspect described as a black male about 25 years old, 6'0" tall and 185 pounds

PORT HURON, Mich. – Two Detroit men, ages 33 and 35, were victims of an armed robbery Tuesday night in Port Huron in the 3100 block of Electric Avenue, according to the Port Huron Police Department. 

The suspect, described as a black man about 25 years old, 6 feet tall and 185 pounds, was armed with a handgun when he robbed the victims and fled on foot, according to a release from Port Huron officials.

A shot was fired into the air during the altercation. Officers established a perimeter and conducted a K-9 search for the suspect, according to the release.

Port Huron residents were advised to shelter in place and not to walk around the area in a Facebook post from officials. The warning was removed at 8 p.m. although officers were unable to locate the suspect.
