Strategic Community Partners offers Detroit nonprofits space to work

DETROIT – A new office space catering to Detroit nonprofits and community-based organizations is calling the Fitzgerald neighborhood home.

Strategic Community Partners is a national organization founded by Detroit native Chanel Hampton. The 2,000-square-foot center will offer programming space and conference rooms for free or for a nominal cost to organizations aimed at serving and bettering Detroit.

“Fitzgerald is really a rich legacy of community and so it was important for us to make sure we were in the neighborhood with community members, alongside folks with that we work with every single day,” Hampton said.

The center will also provide a resource center for teachers in Detroit as part of the Teach 313 efforts.
