Oakland County reports first death caused by flu

Patient was 69-year-old man

OAKLAND COUNTY, Mich. – The first death of flu season was announced by Oakland County.

The patient was a 69-year-old man.

According to the health department, the flu virus can be spread to others as far as six feet away. The department urges everyone over the age of six months to get vaccinated.
