23-year-old Roseville man charged with producing, possessing child porn

ROSEVILLE, Mich. – A 23-year-old Roseville man has been charged with eight felonies for allegedly producing, possessing and distributing child sexually abusive materials.

Investigators received a tip in early 2018 that child sexually abusive materials was being distributed from an IP address in Roseville. A search warrant traced back to the IP address, which was at an residence where Alishan Devon Harden lived.

A second search warrant was executed to obtain a laptop. Harden admitted to using the family laptop to download and share child sexually abusive materials. Police seized the laptop and two cell phones.

“Our office will prosecute those who prey on Michigan’s children to the fullest extent of the law,” Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel said. “I am incredibly grateful to the members of the Michigan State Police’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force for their continued partnership with our office and their actions to insure Michigan’s children are protected and those who exploit them are brought to justice.”

Harden was charged with the following:

  • Five felony counts of possession of child sexually abusive materials.
  • One felony count of distribution of child sexually abusive materials.
  • One felony count of production of child sexually abusive materials.
  • One felony count of using a computer to commit a crime.

A probable cause conference is scheduled for 8:15 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20, and a preliminary exam has been scheduled for 8:15 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 27. Bond was set at $15,000.
