Detroit police say missing 16-year-old boy never returned home from school

DETROIT – A 16-year-old boy is missing after he failed to return home from school, Detroit police said.

Terry Tarrant was last seen around 8 a.m. Wednesday when his mother dropped him off at school in the 5000 block of Cadieux Road, officials said.

Terry never returned to his home in the 12000 block of Essex Avenue on Detroit’s east side, according to authorities.

He is described as being 5 feet, 6 inches tall with a medium complexion, black hair, brown eyes and a thin build. He has the name “Crystal” on the inside of his left forearm, according to police.

Terry was last seen wearing a blue Polo winter hat, a blue The North Face jacket, tan pants and blue-and-white Jordan sneakers, officials said.

He is in good mental condition but needs medication for diabetes, police said.
