Eastern Michigan police report student sexually assaulted off campus in Ypsilanti

YPSILANTI, Mich. – Police at Eastern Michigan University reported a student was sexually assaulted earlier this month while off campus in Ypsilanti.

The incident happened between 11 p.m. Nov. 2 and 1 a.m. Nov. 3 in the 200 block of North Normal Street, according to authorities.

Officials said the crime was reported at 3:44 p.m. Thursday.

The nature of the crime is third-degree criminal sexual conduct, according to EMU police.

Authorities said the case is currently open.
