Memorial hockey game honors Grosse Pointe brothers killed in house fire

Players wear jerseys with boys’ names

GROSSE POINTE WOODS, Mich. – Two Grosse Pointe boys who were killed in a house fire last month were remembered at a youth hockey game Thursday night.

Logan Connolly, 9, and Briggs Connolly, 11, were honored when University Liggett took on Grosse Pointe South. The boys, who died Oct. 28, loved hockey.

Ligget players sported jerseys with Briggs’ name, while South players had Logan’s name on their backs.

A community of people attended the game.
