16-year-old suspect identified after 3 teenagers shot during argument in Detroit, police say

Officials: 13-year-old in critical condition, two 14-year-olds stable

DETROIT – Detroit police have identified a 16-year-old suspect in connection with the shooting of three teenagers during an argument, Chief James Craig said.

Officials said several children were walking down Seven Mile Road and Washburn Street on Nov. 10 when they were confronted by another group of teenagers.

An argument broke out and someone fired gunshots, according to authorities.

A 13-year-old and two 14-year-old were struck, police said. The 13-year-old is in critical condition and the 14-year-olds are stable, according to officials.

Craig said Tuesday that a 16-year-old has been identified as the suspected shooter. A warrant has been submitted to the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office, authorities said.
