Ferndale police have arrested a 27-year-old woman in connection with a hit-and-run accident which left a 30-year-old woman in critical condition, Saturday.
Police say the victim was crossing Woodward Avenue at 9 Mile Road with a group of friends around 2:30 a.m., when she was struck by the female driver, who, allegedly didn't slow down as she approached the crossing group of people.

Police say the driver then allegedly hit the female victim head-on. She was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
Authorities say that since this is an ongoing investigation, they will not be releasing the name of the driver at this time adding they will also be withholding the victim’s name per the family’s request.
