5 shot at party near Saginaw Valley State University

Police are still searching for the suspects

SAGINAW, Mich. - Five people are recovering Sunday after being shot at a large party near Saginaw Valley State University.

According to police, the shooting occurred around 2 a.m. at the Cardinal Townhomes on Pierce Road.

The five people that were shot suffered non-fatal injuries. None of the victims are Saginaw Valley State University students.

The main suspect is described as a black man in his early 20s with dread locks and frosted blonde tips. The other suspect is described as a black male wearing a red shirt with a straight brim hat.

Anyone who sees the suspects or has any information is asked to call Saginaw Central Dispatch at 989-797-4580.

SVSU has arranged a special hotline number for concerned parents and loved ones. The line can be reached at 989-964-4348. Those calling are asked to reference the shooting at 2207 Pierce Road.
