Actor Jeff Daniels auctions off self to raise money for Purple Rose Theatre in Chelsea

Jeff Daniels will perform at home of highest bidder

CHELSEA, Mich. – Jeff Daniels has had a successful career onstage, but his passions are in Chelsea.

Twenty-six years ago, he founded the Purple Rose Theatre despite being told it wouldn’t work. The theatre has helped his hometown by bringing people to the small town.

Daniels has supported the theatre with fundraisers. This year, he’s auctioning off himself to raise money.

He’ll bring his guitar and play a house party at the home of the highest bidder.
