Surveillance video shows man taking cash from Family Video register on Sept. 1; Police say suspect arrested Thursday without incident

WATERFORD TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Waterford Township police say they've made an arrest in the robbery of a Family Video store last weekend.

Police said a 32-year-old Waterford man is being held in the Oakland County jail pending charges in connection with the Sept. 1 theft at the store on West Huron.

Police said an employee reported finding cash missing from the register after he had stepped away to help customers.

A review of the store's surveillance video showed a white male with a shaved head opening the register and removing money before leaving the store.

The suspect was arrested Thursday without any trouble.

His name is being withheld until he is arraigned.
