BLOOMFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. – An 18-year-old Pontiac man was arrested Wednesday on accusations that he scanned Xbox Live cards and pocketed them while working at a Bloomfield Township Target, police said.

Kevonte Jones worked at the Target at 2400 Telegraph Road when the store's loss prevention officer saw him scanning Xbox Live cards and pocketing them, according to police.

Jones's register drawer was short money on the dates involved, police said. The total loss was $300, officials said.

The alleged incidents happened between April 22 and April 27, police said.

Jones faces charges of embezzlement worth more than $200, but less than $1,000.

Jones was arrested Wednesday and arraigned. He is being held on $5,000 bail.

His next court date is scheduled for Oct. 5.
