Bob Bashara, of Grosse Pointe Park, was charged with solicitation of murder after police investigators said he tried to have a man charged in his wife Jane Bashara's death killed while in prison.

DETROIT - Bob Bashara will be back in court Wednesday to enter a plea of "guilty" or "not guilty" in the 2012 murder of his wife, Jane Bashara.

Bashara had long been a person of interest in his wife's killing.

Handyman Joe Gentz admitted to strangling her and says he was ordered by Bob Bashara to do it.

It took more than one year for the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office to charge Bashara in connection with his wife's murder.

Charges were announced in early April.

He is already serving time in prison for trying to hire a hitman to kill Joe Gentz.

On Jan. 24, 2012, Bashara reported his wife missing. The mother of two was found dead the next day in the back of her sport utility vehicle in a Detroit alley.

We'll have complete coverage of Wednesday's hearing on Local 4.
