With Veterans Day upon us, there are lots of business around the state offering discounts for veterans and their families throughout the weekend.
The actual day, it's worth noting, is on Sunday.
Here are some weekend deals we found on the website MilitaryBenefits.info, although participation may vary. Call or check online with the restaurant or attraction you're planning on visiting to make sure that you'll receive the promotion that you're anticipating.

Arcands Service Center (Mountain) - All day on Sunday, there will be free oil changes to all veterans and active-duty military members with proper ID. Please call ahead to schedule.
Brann's Steakhouse & Grille (Bay City, Caledonia, Grand Rapids, Grandville, Holland, Muskegon, Portage, Northville, Wyoming) - Free 6-ounce sirloin with a baked potato for all veterans and active-duty military on Monday.
Emagine Theatres (Birch Run, Canton, Macomb, Saline, Novi, Royal Oak, Palladium, Rochester, Farmington Hills, MI) - On Sunday, servicemen and women can present their military ID at the box office of any location to receive two free movie tickets. Members can bring one guest.
Explore Yoga Studio (Troy) - All day long on Sunday, classes will be free to veterans.
Michigan Science Center (Detroit) - Veterans can enjoy free general admission from noon to 5 p.m.
Whitmore Golf Links - It's forecast to be cold, but any veterans who still want to play can do so for free and pay just a $15 cart fee. Just be sure to pack a lot of hot chocolate.
